My wish list
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your IJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your IJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1- LUSH if you live near a LUSH store I would love bar shampoo, lotion- esp. with sunscreen, Angles on Bare skin, Herbalism, Imperials, ‘Eau Roma Water, Buffy the Backslide Slayer, soap and any other wondrous goodies!
2- Homemade goodies – I can’t eat wheat but I’ll share with my kids J anything homemade, art, food, crafts, card anything.
3- Porn- cause the holidays are about happiness- drabble, story, art anythingJ
4- Books to read to my kids. I would love books for kids/teens, which could inspire my work kids and my own kids. They have been removed from their homes by CPS they have a intense since of entitlement and are very angry, so stories where people have picked themselves up from nothing, chosen the right things instead of the easy thing, stories about kids who have a lot less and make the most of every opportunity- books like that.
5- I would love a beta for an original story I’m writing, someone to help me keep the plot in line, and my grammar and spelling errors to a minimum. It isn’t slash. It’s a teen book with a supernatural theme; my main character is a girl. I’m writing it first person-, which is a challenge, and I’m hoping I can pull it off. I want WILL get it published so any help would be wonderful.
6- Candy I do so love candy. This bit will sound odd, but I would really enjoy candy from your area or ethnic background. The work kids have introduced me to Mexican candy and it is very fun!
7- DVD of your favorite foreign or independent film- but please don’t make me cry without a happy ending.
8- Music that you love. I enjoy a wide variety of music and I love finding new people to listen too, so have you found something new and wonderful you want to share??
9- Shirts, mine are getting old and stained, I wear a medium. And while I adore snarky rude t-shirts please remember that I work with children, and I live where I work so I have to behave most of the time. I usually don’t wear pink or red.
10- Give- time, money, food, toys, whatever you can or what to, give something and tell me about it.
Now I did edit my friends list a while back in order to get RL working better- this is still a project- so please link your lists to me, I don’t want to forget anyone, although I’m not sure how much I can get done.
